My journey into the world of art began by watching Mom. She could work magic with a bit of paint and a brush. I was fascinated by how she could transform a flat blank canvas into a beautiful work of art. Now, several years later, I'm continuing in the footsteps I followed as a child watching Mom. "Untitled" (40 x 16) WIP

A little more done.  Was having a bit of an issue with the wagon wheels.  Think I have that resolved.  Starting to define the bluff on the right.  Want to capture the light on the south face.  And so a possible title???  "Heading West" ???  Will have to do some more thinking about that.

    Looking good! What is that, Chimney Rock? Courthouse Rock? Excited to see what it looks like when you add in the spackles of light and shadows of clouds in that big expanse of grass.

    Thanks Ronda for your comments. I like your title suggestions - especially Frontier Dreams.

    Jess I based this painting on a reference photo of Scotts Bluff. The area to the left is my interpretation of the area. So, it's not geographically true to the region.
